Private transfer from Budapest to Vienna visiting the lovely baroque town of Győr and the Benedictine Abbey of Pannonhalma

Duration: 6.5 hours

The Budapest-Győr-Pannonhalma-Vienna Scenic Transfer starts at your hotel in Budapest (or Vienna if the opposite direction is requested). Our driver and guide will wait for you at the lobby just so that you can start your voyage in the most relaxed way...

Győr is at an hour and fifteen minute ride (120 km) away from Budapest on the highway. After your arrival to Győr your guide will take you on a discovery walk of the city that sometimes is called the city of water, or the city of the rooster that could sing victory. You will see all the key attractions of the center:

  • the Széchényi square, the purely baroque square that has the most interesting buildings like the abbey and high school of the Benedictine priests,
  • as well as the statue of the two priests who invented the first machine that made soda water.
  • You will also have a glimpse of the Pharmacy museum,
  • the corner of the "four baroque balconies",
  • the Baross avenue,
  • the Carmelite church,
  • the hill of the Bishops with the Cathedral that was founded in the 11th century by St. Stephen, the first king of Hungary.
After the walk you will have an additional hour at your disposition to do some shopping or have your lunch.
In the afternoon you will head to the Abbey of Pannonhalma situated only 30 minutes away from Győr (20 km). The guide will take you for a visit of the abbey, the cathedral, and the library, and will get you acquainted with the everyday lives of the Benedictine monks. After the visit you will continue your one hour and a half (145 km) ride to Vienna where we will take you to the doorstep of your hotel and help you with your luggage.

Enjoy the advantages of an exclusive service and the personal atmosphere that this private transfer will offer you: your guide will always be available to answer (almost) any questions you may have and will adapt the itinerary of the tour in accordance to your specific interests. You can be sure not to run short of intriguing and amusing stories during the voyage.
