The journey begins in the lobby of your hotel in Budapest. We then drive to the High Tatras approximately 3.5 hours away. After arrival in Banská Bystrica, your English-speaking guide will show you the main sights of this enigmatic former mining town. Banská Bystrica played an important role in the regional economy during the Industrial Revolution. You will also get to know the daily lives of miners and the difficult conditions of the ancient time. After the tour, your lunch at a local restaurant is included. You will have the opportunity to taste the special dishes of Slovak shepherds tempered with sheep cheese of the mountains.
After reaching Oravský Podzámok, your guide will take you for a visit in the magnificent Orava castle that dominates the peaks and valleys of the High Tatras. During the afternoon, we drive to Krakow (about 2 hours away).
